Artist Statement

My work centers on portraiture as a space for emotional truth and quiet storytelling. I am drawn to faces not simply as representations of people, but as vessels of memory, vulnerability, and inner life. Each portrait is an attempt to make visible what is often unseen—the feelings we carry, the moments we suppress, and the stories written beneath the surface.

I work intuitively, allowing emotion to guide form, texture, and expression. Rather than striving for perfection or idealized likeness, I focus on presence and mood, embracing subtle imperfections that give the work its honesty. My background in illustration and animation influences my approach, encouraging narrative depth and a sense of suspended time within each image.

Through my practice, I invite viewers to slow down and engage emotionally. The portraits are meant to be felt as much as they are seen—offering moments of reflection, connection, and shared humanity.
